We arrived mid-afternoon. We received a free basket of bread (hard, crusty outside, soft inside) and butter but no plates. I ordered the hot crab sandwich and my husband ordered Bodega seafood chowder and a small shrimp cocktail. My sandwich want particularly hot, but otherwise was good. Fries were tasty. My husband said the soup was okay but not great, the shrimp cocktail was generous and tasty. The food was good, but overpriced in my opinion and certainly not excellent. Historically, the old Alfred Hitchcock movie The Birds was filmed there, and there is a nice view of the Bay outside from the tables.
Good food & attentive service, but the tension level of the staff was high... everyone rushing around apologizing for the wait. Nice view of Bodega Bay with sea lions in sight & fresh seafood at decent prices.
Service great! We wanted a table window and they were quick to clean a table to accommodate. Lots of seafood choices! I recommend grilled salmon with the bernaise sauce, but be sure to emphasize grilled, I was served lightly breaded, but still delicious! The pasta with tomato sauce was an odd side, so I swapped my pasta for my husband's green beans. We followed lunch with the cheesecake. It was light and amazing!! We each had a drink, lunch entree and shared a dessert and the bill was under $100! The food and service coupled with the views make this a must stop and enjoy place on your travels up and down the coast!
Good food after a long day at the beach. It's got amazing views. The service is all right. It's a little bit more upscale than some of the other places out on the coast, more romantic. The menu has all sorts of different foods on it. There will be something for everyone.
