The #1 outdoor activity that I've done in my life was when I went to Switzerland to do mountain biking. This one was the second best. Mountain biking in Lake Tahoe is incredibly beautiful and exciting. It's a great workout as well. The staff from Flume Trail Bikes is really friendly and helpful. The rental bikes are perfect for these kind of trails. Can't wait to do it again.
I’ve used this shuttle service several times before. As always, they were on time, handled my bike carefully, and this time actually provided some “guide tour commentary” along the way. Shuttle vehicle was clean and the driver operated safely
My wife and I wanted to ride the Flume Trail and I already had a bike, but she did not. I have heard a lot of good things about E-bikes, so I rented a Specialized Levo for her. The guys working the rental shop were very helpful. They set up the bike and explained how to use it and made sure she was comfortable before we hit the trail. She had a blast! We traded off a couple times because I wanted to see what these things were all about. Very fun! I'm glad I rented it for her, because the first 1/3 of the trail is pretty steep. I consider myself to be in good shape, but even I had to get off my bike at one point and push. Not my wife. The E-bike just made it easy enough to where she got a workout, but didn't get smoked. And she was only using the lowest setting. Anyways, I would recommend this bike rental place for anyone looking to ride the Flume Trail.
They had a great selection of bikes to rent. The location is perfect with it being at the end of the trail and a cafe that serves beer just steps away. The shuttle driver had a bit of an attitude that made the experience less than ideal. Maybe something was going on with him that day. If not, he should work on his customer service skills.
