I recently went in to Carefree Gardens to buy a fruit tree sapling to give to my friends as a gift. Not knowing exactly what I wanted, the lovely folks talked with me about what was available and the realities of growing the plant. I left feeling so happy about the purchase. They even helped me find a perfect bow to put on the tree and to pack it away in my truck properly. I will go to them for all my gardening questions/needs/curiosities from now on. The food also looked delicious too!
Amazing food, gracious hosts, a greenhouse to die for...variety and beauty in abundance.
Great selection of bedding and container plants, shrubs, succulents, veggies and herbs. Beautiful reasonably priced hanging baskets. If tropicals are your thing, this is the place for you!. Helpful, knowledgeable owner and staff go out of their way to make sure you are pleased with your purchase. Great family owned business! Also have lunch at Origins Cafe, right in among the tropical plants...fantastic locally sourced quality ingredients wonderfully prepared and served by smiling happy people obviously enjoying what they do! Stop in!
Cooperstown is my home town for 75+ years but it has now earned a changed perspective with the addition of Origins Cafe! What a nice way to bring in the outside world and to let us participate in your endeavors to support women from other cultures. I look forward to coming for lunch any time I'm fortunate enough to come to town!! Thanks for being there!
Browse and buy great types of plants and fruit trees! Then have lunch there as well. Terrific food! We have been there twice, bought great plants and had satisfying lunch! Worth the 1&1/2 hr trip
